refree's attitude towards decision making(pertaining to Indian Cricket team)
by appusamy1 on Jul 04, 2006 11:32 AM

I strongly feel that almost all the white umpires and refrees in general have been harsh and partial in giving out decisions or imposing fines.
All those decisions had been against india never infavour. This step motherly attitude of all these so called white umpires should change if we need healthy competitive spirit to survive.

On Lara's Behavior
by Arvind on Jun 29, 2006 12:59 PM

From my view, i think that the match refree is in favour of home country and against the Indians. It is very bad the player like Lara shows that type of behavior, it is very bad for the spirit of the game. This matter must be taken to the ICC meeting and give some punishment to the match refree.

DONT SPOIL THE GENTLE MAN GAME
by siva on Jun 29, 2006 05:49 AM

It clearly shown that Lara the WI captain who got afraid of Hard Hitting Dhoni, Shows his dissent to umpire in his decision making.First ICC should answer one question whether Umpires should follow the rules that given by ICC or order by a fielding captain. This is unfair for this game. The Rules favour the batsmen if there is more doubt in his dismissal.Tv Replay also could not confirm that Dhoni is out or not out.So there is no mistake on umpires. It is not good for the game that a Batsmen(good hitting) is urged by the Fielding captain to go to Pavillion. If htis incident taken lightly then there is no need for umpires. The Fielding captain himself can make the Decision that a Batsmen is OUT or NOTOUT. ICC's Rule should same to a LEGEND and also a NEW COMER. This is the right way to kept the Sprit of the game glowing .Then only we can Globalize this game . The rule sould not bend down for record makers. So ICC please DONT SPOIL THE GENTLEMAN GAME .Because we love that game that much.

Third umpire's are also players
by juned on Jun 26, 2006 03:40 PM

Third Umpires are also players they have come from the game itself. they know that Sehvag is not a bowlerand and when a batsman is bowling in the (test)match,it is always be over appealing and that's what sehvag did. we shouls admire on him that he has helped the team rather criticising the umpires.
Umpires are biased in case of round the wicket bowling. when you bowl round the wichet it is always considered that batman will not get LBW. the hokai graph is showing the direction of the ball but the cricket rules and ethicks stand for ever. If shane warne can get wickets from round the wicket not pitching the ball in the line of leg stump than biased umpiring issue gets more relevance not in the sehvag's case.

Match Referee against India
by Shakeel Mujawar on Jun 24, 2006 01:10 PM

Yes, I agree that the present match referee is against India. But this has been the case with all the non indian match referees for such a long time now. Overall, the ICC is suffering from an inferiority complex vis a vis BCCI. So anything indian is taken with a pinch of salt. In desperation they try to portray their (non)authority to the cricketing world by fining the Indian players & board. This is just frustration & ofcourse old racism. It is well understood that the fair skinned europeans Are the biggest racist existing. So be it. It is just a matter of time. Asians are going to rule the world in future!!!!!!
