This is good news that India is going to host 2011 cricket world cup final.I am very much disappointed by the comment of certain lousy fellows who call this game as a lousy game. I feel that they really don't know the game or either they themselves are terrible player. According to me no game can be lousy. Every game is blend of technique and intelligence. I am proud of my country for giving some of the BEST CRICKETERS to the world. My best wishes are for indian cricket team for 2007 as well as 2011 world cup
some political game will be goingon on irfan pathan,dravid & chappel will be the responisuble persons lose one valuable all-rounder in the new world,rahul know every thing,so he might be take good decision for india cricket not for board officials.how they decide vrv is better than irfan,if he play all tests deffently we won at least 3-0 series.don't play games with these young talented players,this not too good for indian cricket.
Mr. Mazumdar please understand the frustrated sports loving Indians does'nt have anything to cheer about except this 'lousy'game.
After watching the giants like Zidanes, Balaks, Ronaldos, Figos, Tonis and so on... though it is hard to worship these 'pint sized' (w.r.t. to universal acceptibility) Sachins, Rahuls & Souravs .... but we have no option dear Mr. Mazumdar that's the tragedy we face after every World Event. 1.1 billion passionate supporters have none to support from the bottom of their hearts.
Thus we continue to 'fool' ourselves and hail them as 'fools' who doesn't 'Fool themselves'. Only we pray: 'God save our gr8 game from the Brazilians, Germans, Italians, Spanish or even Ghanaians or Nigerians' or else we may have to host 'Gilli Danda' at Eden Gardens or Chepauk to find us matching 'World Standards ' in at least some 'sport'.

First of all I view cricket as a great game. Even though it was invented by English ppl, it got its popularity bcoz of South asian ppl like us who are crazy abt it. So its now much more than just a colonial game. Its got more great players from South Asia (India, Pak, SI) than from rest of the world. In US American football is the most loved game, even though nobody in other parts of the world plays it, or even knows abt it. This taught me one thing, to take pride in even the gold medals won by India in Kabbadi in the asian games. I wish we Indians look more at the positive side of things than just the negative side. I think that would drive India to acheive much more than we think we can.
well the money from the match goes to future sports development...infrastructure to host world events make sense...yeah it is good one way but not enterprising as the whole BCC and politicians behind are corrupt and they are not transparrent. Request to rediff...if we can inflence some change in BCC attitude by enforce throiugh media pressre...we have acheived some step forward dev
