the bloody lankans should be ashamed of claiming the record because they did it against a micro weight tem like holland. if the australians or the south africans played them they would easily break the 500 barrier.this should not be allowed as a record for the lankans.

i fully agree with srikant message. the lankans must feel ashame to do this. this cannot be known as record. if they done against the mighty australians i will agree..
it is a un belevable strangth of si lankans to put a ton. The featue of Sri Lankas players are bright. And i hoop thy will success in World Cup-2007 Best reagrds
Record is a record, how many times indians made history with the minnows, that time you agreed, why not now. If they play against India also they will score, since india (not baby) in learning process.
it,s a great shame for the team srilanka eventhough it's a world record as for as i am concerned this is not at all a world record. if the srilankan team waant to pose a world record let it find a match between India, South africa, Australia or even kenya. remember it lost it's one of its match against kenya

why should it be a shame?its like saying "mike tyson should not knock down a meek opponent". its a competition of 50 overs and given international official status by the icc, so its very obvious and natural for srilanka to make the best out of the 50 overs.....and no way is it a lesser achievement. that feat, though it has come against a minnow, is something easily reproducible by other teams, scoring almost 9 runs an over for the whole 50 overs. and from the recent match against england, srilankans have shown that its not just holland they are able to hammer. chasing 321 in 37 or so overs, i guess 450 would have definitely been possible in that very match if the whole 50 0vers would have been played. more than anything else, i find your comment as shameful as srilanka's feat is glorious!!!
its right to enter into records because netherlands also qualified team according ICC rules other wise delete the netherlands team from oneday international.
The Sri Lankan's may scored heavily but at the same time, the Holland team did not bat that bad. They scored 248 and that to in 48 overs. This is something which a team like Bangladesh or Zimbabwe is stuggling at.
sri lanka did agenist miner true but they have did it even agenest england if u read last match in england (nearley) 10 overs 133runs how do feel who 1st coments
In cricket it doesnt matter who is playing with whom. In history even Aus lost match against small team. SRILANKA HAVE DONE A GREAT JOB.... Huge score really admirable..... They have a good chance to win 2007 Worldcup...
