While one cannot find fault with Umpire's need, we should realise that the real problem lies elsewhere. if one cares to analyse the last 25 tests, these 2 tests were the most insipid ones. Even from the day 1, all had a feeling that it was going nowhere. Hence there should be some framework so that such placid wickets are not prepared. Obviously, the home team had prepared such a wicket to earn a draw. Obviously, the home team did not want to repeat last year's drubbing they got at India's hands.

why change the rule? make it for drawn matches match fee will be reduced to 50% only both for players and umpires.AND these records will not be entered for record purpose, then only people will realise what is the value of money.
Ranjan Maduale has no real cricket sense. He could not take any action against the behavior of pakistani players, as he don't know what is correct and what is incorrect. Madugale is a lost man
