Tendulkar's dismal batting
by Ravi Shankar on Feb 02, 2006 09:45 AM

Tendulkar must go

When everyone pronounced verdict against Ganguly, they must have used some kind of yardstick. Going by any yardstick, it is to be bravely pronounced that Tendulkar must leave voluntarily or else he must be sacked. All his records have benifitted him alone. What are the use of such records when such a so called master batsman cannot perform in times of distress. Not once, but during the last many occasions he has miserably failed. Because of guys like Dhonis and Pathans India managed to salvage pride. What is the utility of such a non-performing 'Master' in the team.

Tendulkar failure
by RAJEEV DAS on Jan 30, 2006 05:17 PM

Contorversial Greg Chappel and Kiran More is silent on Tendulkar and always keep on awarding him by selecting him series after series beside lot of failure only to build up his own record and the person responsible for Indian Win records Mr. More trying to keep him out of series after series because he is not building his own record.

Tendulkar is afterall a mortal
by Ravichandran.B on Jan 28, 2006 11:07 AM

All along, I've been crying repeatedly that medias, commentators and fellow players to stop praising Sachin unnecessarily as saviour, genius, prodigy, master et.al because Sachin is afterall an average player and one who plays for records and for individual milestones and for the team. This being the case especially in the last 5 years, BCCI selectors have failed miserably in promoting fresh talent in the national team.Had Sachin been in Australia, long before, he would've been dropped from the team. How many times he bailed out India from a precarious position of 25 for 2 (or) 50 for 5 to a target of 250+ in the 4th innings of a Test match especially against Australia, South Africa, England or Pakistan (barring the 137 against Pak at Chepauk which too only resulted in India's loss) and the answer will be a big "zero".Dravid is more consistant than Sachin is and is the most selfless player India has produced so far.Sachin being true to himself and to the Indian team, should retire from ODIs & should concentrate only in Tests like Lara since Test Cricket is the ultimate test for any cricketer.Sachin is playing only to please his sponsors and nothing else.Drop him & infuse fresh blood.

Tendulkar-Good for making records and getting popular
by anil kumar on Jan 27, 2006 01:29 PM

The days are gone when Tendulkar used to be the spearhead of the India batting, now the old player needs a farewell like what happened in case of Sourav Ganguly. In the current standards of cricket we dont need Tendulkar who contributes a single century for 10 innings and doesnot contributes further, but Micheal beaven who contributes in every match and who carries his team to victory when needed. The latest example is Dhoni-pathan innings which saved us the 2nd test. Give confidence to players like VVS.Laxman by selecting them on consistent basis and also give opportunities to youngsters like RP Singh to buildup a good and competitive team to win matches

Sachins failure a Shock
by Jayanta Sengupta on Jan 26, 2006 10:50 PM

he is a champion ! The way he got out was pathetic.India needed a good and meaningful contribution from him at that time. He was uncomfortable from the start against Sohaib. I dont know what Ravi Shasrti would say ' May be the best ball of the innings"

Stop accusing Sachin for every odd failure
by Ravi on Jan 26, 2006 11:29 AM

I donot understand why this article had to be published in the first place.Every cricketer goes through a rough patch at some stage and Sachin has hardly had any test failures till 2002.
Its unfair to put undue pressure on players by highlighting occasional failures.
The media should understand its responsibilities properly before posting such silly articles..
Thanks
