Cairns was pure delight on the cricket field. A natural athlete with a lovely action and abiity to hit a real long ball. He could budgeon bowlers of all types and hit massive sixes.
He wwas one of the very few who could stand upto the Aussies at theirpeak and give it back to them in their own coin
