coach greg' s excuse
by AMIT AHUJA on Feb 03, 2006 07:18 PM

excuse me Mr. Chappell if u think that u can tame the aussies ..then u r living in a fool's paradise. McGrath is not a genuine fast bowler but u see he is such an accurate bowler that he is difficult to get away with. Sri Lanka became the world champs without a genuine fast bowler but again they had vaas on their side. Indian bolwers dont know where to pitch the ball. They are always clueless. So it is no surprise that they are milked for runs galore. Most importantly ask your batsmen to score when it matters the most.

Greg Chappell - Transforming India into a Winning Unit...You are Kidding right!!!
by Sampath on Jan 22, 2006 08:45 AM

Recently I read an Article in Rediff where the First Statement was

"Having transformed the Indian team into a winning unit, coach Greg Chappell rues the absence of a genuine fast bowler in the line-up, who he believes will help the team bridge the gap with world champions Australia."

I really hope you were kidding when this was written. Greg has been a Coach for hardly a year, and the only series that was played was with Sri Lanka at Home!!!.

Prior to that, the team was managed by John Wright and Sourav, who deserve all the praise for bringing the team thus far and transforming the team into a really competitive unit.

Whatever happens from now going forward would certainly be the handiwork of our Great Coach Greg!!!. I am just kidding here when I said he was going to be a Great Coach. The Start does not look good, and he is already looking for excuses. Let us wait and see.

News to us - that we need a genuine fast bowler. This is also being printed by rediff !!

Chappell has transformed the team into a winning unit ! How many series have we played so far ? Against a depleted Sri Lankans at home / incomplete SA / started with Pakistan........ thats all - i want to know rediff's interest in the sycophancy being shown towards Chappell / Dravid / More combination.

Greg Rahul should dream but within limits
by jayanta Sengupta on Jan 21, 2006 11:15 PM

Yea, one should dream to become a winner, but notlike this. Taking 5 bowlers for the sake of taking is stupid. The score says it all.. India do not have a lethal attack to accomodate 5 bowlers.More over the descision to take the new ball at the end of the day was also blunder. The batsmen were set and the new ball was hit all round.mr. Grege mr. Rahul please have some sense, realise your weaknes and then talk big.
