They Were Actually Playing One Day
by Vineet Gupta on Jan 16, 2006 08:19 PM

What we have seen today was nothing but was unlimited overs One dayer. Sehwag with devastating batting with Dravid in his usual Defensive mode completely taken over pakistani attack. The due put up 403 in just 75 overs, as if they were playing a limited overs match. As if they had only 100 overs to compete with pak's total.
After watching Indian bowlers going for big hitting, I thought Our bowlers forgotten how to bowl. But, looking at pak's bowling, our bowlers seems to be the better than their's.

Unstoppable Sehwag and Mr. dependable Dravid filled the life in dry test. Pak's were thinking of winning the opener, but this batting of indian due was eye opener for them. It was very pity of Sami to show his rage to Sehwag when he was already on streak.

I hope this pair will break the best opening record.
And I wish they play whole day tommarow show us the masterinnings of their lifetime.

What is the most number of 4's hit by a batsman in an inn.
by Viney on Jan 16, 2006 07:46 PM

I think Sehwag has already achived the feat of hitting most number of 4's in single inning. He has hit 46 so far(end of day 4). Though I am not very sure, but I checked some highest individual scores and the maximum there was 45 by Lara. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks to the curator records are breaking. Do the teams really deserve the feat. It may be moral boasting for the batsmen who fared well. But the wicket is not sporting. Let us not be happy with this. Our real challenge is Australia, South Africa, West Indies and Newzeland.

A fitting reply, indeed. The way our captain and vice-captain have crafted the indian innings had definitely broken the confidence of Pakistanis. Tommorow the pakistan team will be one among us (spectators)to watch the world records being re written by our cool customers to the lovely if not lively pitch.
