Why we are not having balaji... some one who terrorised pakistani batsman with his accuracy and flamboyance... spin is not the attacking cricket ..it shows..lack of eagerness to take chances and leaves out the option of competitive and attractive cricket.. India should do away with dependence on spin and put some penetrative bowling attack..
Kudos to the heroes. As I said yesterday, even a draw is a great achievement in this test and whoever contributes to make it happen should be complemented and encouraged.
You a. Its a waste playing in front of a dull one sided fanatical Pak crowd. Even dead skunks would react better. This would never happen in India and def not in Chennai where i stay
I fully agree with your point PREM.More often than not it is India's defensive approach that has let them down. Why Aussies are the world champions? It is b'coz even if they are 150+ for 8 they still believe that they can win the game. I am not trying to take away anything from the Indians. I think Shewag is the best Indian example of Aussie approach.Whatever be the situation he is going to play the only way he knows to.Hust hit the ball. I vividly remember the Chennai test-Day,4.He hit Mcgrath for a 4 straight down the ground,of the last ball of the day and then stared straight into the Aussies eyes. Now that is something we are lacking, aggressive approach. Well I believe that India can certainly handle Shoiab well and we musn't read to much into what TV channels keep on saying about that Shoaib will be too hot to handle for Indians. The team is there to win and that is what they should concentrate on.
The author of the article has forgotten that test cricket is played with a red ball and the one dayers under light or else are played with a white ball. I feel Test cricket should stay the same and not some staged play under lights and makeup.
Day and night matches, under the light are played with the white ball. A red ball is apparently much difficult to sight under the artificial light. Hence they are of no use in test cricket.
Maybe Prem Panicker does not know that the red ball (used for Test Matches) cannot be sighted as easily under flood-lights as the white ball (which is used in the ODIs). So the umpires are quite valid in calling off play even when the option of playing under lights is available.
