I seriously doubt the credentails of Moin as a "columnist" whose job is to analyze the situation on hand , but try not to manipulate the world with his distorted view. The statement "I know both Yuvraj and Ganguly don't like to face genuine fast bowling and have exposed their weaknesses especially against short-pitched bowling" brings out his fallacy at guaging the situation. If Yuvraj cant play fast balling and short pitched stuff who else can play fast and short pitched stuff, may be him or Sahid Afirdi perhaps?. So Mr Moin get back to doing what you do best or start learning to put your money where your mouth is. By saying so I bet you wether you willing to bet wether Yuvraj will get out playing to a short ball or hou many runs Yuvraj will score in the up coming series??
Yuvraj is quite comfortable with seam and bounce. His trouble is with spinners - turning ball. This is well acknowledged by now. Even in the recent SA ODI series Yuvraj slammed a century while there was quite a movement and bounce, that too from a point when India were 35/5 to hoist 250/9 in 50 overs. But one could clearly see that he was sitting duck to a spinner of even Botha's standard. But against Lanka he displayed much better, even against Murali - the best in business.
