Inappropriate Title?

The first news should have been TN won the Ranji match by 222 runs not Ganguly scored 88 runs! Which is more important? Team winning or Ganguly scoring? It is in very bad taste.

Saurav's 88
by Suresh on Jan 06, 2006 03:10 PM

There are hundreds of players that routinely hit massive runs in Ranji. Then why is a meagre 88 from Sourav make headlines? A test level player is expected to score heavily in the domestic competition, else he is not fit to play test match cricket ! He may change his stance or stand upside down - until he scores heavily in Pak, he cannot be considered test grade anymore.

Indian Team and Ganguly

I genuinely believe that you still have the class in you, as much as many others have.Dont be carried away or feel insecure by the comments of some of the erstwhile stalwarts of Pakistan cricket on you having crossed the hump etc etc. They know the way you have performed before in Pakistan, and are scared of you hitting form again. These statements are meant to indirectly bear on the minds of the final selectors for the team on match day!!!They hope the selectors may just go along with such views, and take the decision NOT to play you. That will be pathetic, to say the least. So relax and play the game you can play, have played before, and most of all quell the notion that you are not a team man.No one has given the team a better bond than you.Dravid has taken off from your example, maybe in a bit non-aggressive manner, which is but his nature.Even if you are left out of the "huddle", dont let that bother you.Just play the game the way you can only play.Stylish and confident, not as an upstart as ONE of the top player does, not naming him, since what matters now most is EVERYONE has to perform, and no comments on anything else.Best of luck to you and ofcourse TEAM INDIA.Jai Hind.

Ganguly's Form
by Ravi on Jan 06, 2006 02:55 PM

Ganguly's form with the bat seems to be very encouraging and wish him all the best for the forthcoming Pakistan Tour.

I suggest him to play his normal aggressive game and would love see those sixers that he hits.

All the best to him.

RAVI
