unforgiveable

Glen Mcgrath is a confirmed sledger on field. Its time ICC took notice. Time and again we have seen players other than of Asian origin being curiously 'forgiven' for misdemeanours that would have invited a certain suspension for the Asian players.

Issues related to obscene behaviour in a Match
by VVSKumar on Jan 05, 2006 01:51 PM

Dear Sir,

I know that misconduct in matches is punishable according to ICC norms and conditions. I also see players who are fined/punished for such acts. But the act of obscenity is going on increasing in the world of cricket. Particularly the act of the australians' (even though i personally like australian team very much) is unacceptable by any means. Its true the fact that they are the leaders in the rankings and they are perfoming exceptionally and consistently. I also accept the fact that there are quality players in the team gamewise, but as far as the character is concerned excluding their personal character which is irrelevant in a game, the character in a game is the worst. What is the ICC going to do regarding this?
Particularly the impact is more on the Asians but the actually its not the case. Australians in particular, the professional behaviour is lacking in the game irrespective of their victorious stands. ICC should defenitely look into that aspect and should take some actions to proctect the solicity and professionalism of the game.I strongly condemn the partial behaviour of ICC in charging players against the obscene behaviour in game, particulary Asians.

McGrath misbehaviour
by P R Nayak on Jan 05, 2006 01:19 PM

It has become common for Australian cricketers to misbehave during the matches giving scant respect to umpires and opposite team members. McGrath has been misbehaving since so many years but no stern action was taken by ICC against him. While Asian players received severe punishments like suspension for even minor mistakes, Australian players easily escape with minor panalties by way of cut in match fees etc which is not all effective to curb their misbehaviour. A punishment like ban for life if given to a player who misbehaves more than 3 times shall give signals to others to behave in gentlemanly way in Cricket. ICC are u listening ??

McGrath misconduct !! Surprising !!!
by Yogesh Hasabnis on Jan 05, 2006 12:32 PM

McGrath reprimanded for misconduct ? So suprising !! Actually we thought that code of good conduct for cricketers is not meant for McGrath. We thought that it is only meant for some ordinary (!!) cricketers like Ganguly. They banned Ganguly for slow overrate. They suspended him for one oneday match for showing descent to an umpire's decision. They banned him for one match because Deep Dasgupta and Virendra Sehwag were over-appealing. But never heard about McGrath being suspended or banned for matches even after some infamous episodes like the RamNaresh Sarwan episode etc. ICC should not give such treatment to McGrath henceforth !! He is our role-model !!!!!!!! Even if he is caught sledging, they should remember that sledging done by Australians is meant for mental disintegration (!!!!) and it's part and parcel of the game. But any small mistakes from some ordinary cricketers like Ganguly should not be tolerated !!

He should be banned from the game !!!
by Mudassir Ehsan on Jan 05, 2006 12:28 PM

This is not the first time he has done this....McGrath works on the bastman more from unruly behaviour than his bowling. He should be banned from the game.
