Ganguly Strikes!!
by Bithish Roy on Jan 05, 2006 01:50 PM

back to my ganguly-self! with yet another new year, i was wondering what special this year can get, (this is an unusal phenomenon , dont know if been given any medical name, rather syndrome where a person waits for a change only to drool that it wud bring good to his otherwise uneventful life!!). 2005 was ofcourse the worst year in ganguly's life, & someway i believed this new year wud get him lucky. fortune favors the brave. green top eden wicket might have backfired bengal, but saurav passed the test. i was worrying & so everyone, that dew in the morning in calcutta isnt enuf to dampen the wicket & restrict the bounce, & so it was a real battery of attack that found bengal wickets tumbling one after another. the man to be seen with style is dada. no pressure it seemed immense to stop him making the benchmarked strokes; anything on offside & he is next to GOD - our present skipper wud agree today that his comments on him years bef wasnt wrong. notwithstanding dada's carrying frm overnite score of 8 to a fluent 59, bengal succumbed to pace battery of tn, but if Mr. More wanted a match practise prior to pakistan tour for ganguly, now know that dada is ready to produce yet another goo

Is this a shining
by BHARAT SATISH TALWAR on Jan 05, 2006 09:30 AM

I do not know why Ganguly is being given so much of importance the rediff reporters. He is no more a celebrity. If his show in ranji trophy if good (he made 59 with three easy chances0, then God saves India against Pakistan. Please stop propagating Ganguly now for God's sake. We are bored.
