I can spot atleast two mistakes in these stats. India's highest is not 617 but 628-8 declared. The venue was not Trent Bridge, Nottingham but Leeds, Headingly. Also, it is mentioned that Englad scored 628-8 at Headingly in 2002 which is not true. India went on to win the Headingly test by an innings and 46 runs (Englad scored 273 and 309). Infact England scored 617 at Trent Bridge, Nottingham in a drawn test match in 2002.
S R Tendulkar and S C Ganguly added 249 for the 4th wicket at Headingley in the year 1952!
Wow!
Even their mothers must have been young girls then and for these two guys to come out on a cricket field and score so many runs, well that is some achievement!
Hi,, this is arun.. while goin thro your article, i found in one particular tabular column of the batting partnership for india that the season against sachin & sauvrav reads as 1952!! i guess they both weren't born at that age.. or was there such batsmans in that era?? plz do correct the page or me!!
