It would make better sense for India, if it is serious to go up the ladder of rankings on a continuous basis, to go for sporting wickets
Our so called world class spinners are so used to being fed with underprepared wickets to get wickets, that when made to play on placid or sporting wickets they hit centuries/sometime double centuries in their bowling analyses with a rare wicket or two or none at all
Our batsmen are so used to placid wickets at home, that they wobble, dance and collapse like nine pins even if there is a semblance of movement or bounce and pace. Our under 19 team's performance in the final is just an illustration. Not to blame the team. But the BCCI should take the blame for not preparing sporting tracks in the country
I wonder why our board is more keen to tour Bangladesh but is choosing not to tour New Zealand May be this is to continue with our run of success without taking the risk of facing New Zealand quicks who have pace and swing on faster and bouncier tracks
Let us come out of this desire to win at any costs, and move away from enjoying a false sense of security and euphoria. Wish India resounding success in the series against England
