Chapell the practical man
by BHARAT SATISH TALWAR on Feb 27, 2006 12:46 PM

It is plesure reading Chapel's views. He is completely practical and knows what he want to do. HIs present objective is to nurture a team for future and not just include or exclude a players as his predecessors have been doing in the past. I think this is the best way of building the team. Keept it up Greg. The country is with you. Every efficient person has criticism to face but he does his KARMA. This is waht Lord Krishna taught.

Wishing you all the best

Why select team on 1st day of 3-day match prior to the test?
by LN Sachdeva on Feb 27, 2006 10:19 AM

Had the Indian test team been selected on last day of the 3-day match (Eng vs. BPXI), some other names would have found their place in the team. What is the fun of selecting a team on the first day of a tour opener without watching the boys' performance? I am very much sure that had the selection been made in the evening of last day of the match, Munaf Patel would have been in. Even Gautam Gambhir would have got another chance. Can't the selectors review this old illogic? In my opinion, selecting a team on the opening day of a 3-day match or a week in advance of test match does not make any difference. Does it?

crazy interview
by madhu on Feb 26, 2006 11:01 PM

i am ashamed to say it is one of the craziest interviews ever given by a host coach.he has shown his stupidity, amateurness, ignorance and most importantly the disbelief in the team he is serving. the praise he has given england is really undeserving. he has got no idea of contemporary cricket. he has proven how wron g we have been thinking he was a good coach.i am sorry to say india will cut a very sorry figure in international scene if we have a coach like this who talks such nonsense about indian team.
