Inzmams statement
by Murthyadivi on Feb 24, 2006 02:14 PM

It is really sounds gentlemanly and he speaks real captain. The critics should learn a lot and try not to talk as they like. They should get into the shoes of the captain before making a statement. This is mostly observed with Indian and Pakistani Critics only mostly.
Probably these two countries produced more critics than people of action.

Inzy's feeling
by R. SUBRAMANIAN on Feb 24, 2006 11:59 AM

Izy showed his balance of mind while expressing his views to the expert's view. Inzy is quite right that it would be quite different on the field rather than in AC room to comment. Inzy handled his team very well. Most unfortunate things for cricket lowers like us that the absence of Rawal Pindi Express. And Abdul Razak could not bowl to his potential. Any how; why to criticize Inzy instead of giving boost to his ensuing matches?

Anand GR
Very Sportive Inzy
by Anand GR on Feb 24, 2006 11:51 AM

The real candid introspection of Inzy clearly speak a ton about his personality and exhibits the spirit of sporting. I really appreciate the way Inzy has matured into this type of thoughtful player. Pakistan might have lost but Inzy has not. Being an Indian, I am really proud that we have won againt our arch rivals. But still as an avid fan of the sport, Inzy needs to be patted on his back. This appreciation is more from his cricketing perspective than any specific series that he has played. Even I was wondering and have heard commentators telling that inspite of the team being on the jaws of defeat, one would never notice an iota of nervousness, tension on Inzy's face. But this article of his is a fitting reply to such comments. Hats off to Inzy!! Let us build this good relationship between India & Pakistan through Cricket and hope to see some really fantastic & nailbiting finishes in the future matches as well!!

well said Inzammam !!
by sashi on Feb 24, 2006 06:18 AM

I agree with Inzy, one should be gracious in defeat.
But there is one sore point in his column, he talks about misfielding and lack of athleticism. He lacks status quo to say that as he is the most unfir fielder in the pakistan side. Nevertheless Pakistan will remain an exciting side to watch and I won't be surprised if they thrash srilanka in srilanka.

Madhu
Inzi - Gentle giant
by Madhu on Feb 23, 2006 05:36 PM

If someone gets down to preparing a list of gentlemen cricketers, Inzi will be somewhere at the top.

I have never heard him talk meanly about any of his opponents. Except for the one incident under extreme provocation in Toronto (where probably that particular gent with the megaphone needed a kick up his behind anyway).....he has been exemplary.

Maybe his lack of English speaking skills go against him?? Communication is the key word nowadays. Unfair, but who says the world is fair anyway..Luckily, all our boys seem to be comfy at it.

Well, I hope he gets his due recognition before he retires.

Colonel SS Rajan
A salute to the burly Pathan
by Colonel SS Rajan on Feb 23, 2006 04:49 PM

The burly Pathan,Inzamam-ul-Haq,the Captain of Pakistan Cricket team in saying,
"I have no hesitation in admitting that India were worthy winners. They were outstanding in every department of the game and accept wholeheartedly that in this particular series, India were head and shoulders above us"; has displayed that he has a heart even larger than his burly frame. He is a true sportsman and a Gentleman Cricketer; which alas can not be said of all his other team mates.I salute Inzamam-ul-Haq for being frank, forthright and courageous.
