Being in the much hyped cricket news makes you believe as if the whole country of India is cricket mania. Well, this is what some foreignors do think so. Some indicators of visible proof of the same is 1. Media hype 2. Cricket fans in Stadium 3. Tea/Coffe cup talks...as if cricket is the only game in the sub-continent of India?
The other day Krish well remarked, Indians are \\\"slow in bowling\\\" compared to the others....100% true! Methink why a country like that of ours lack qualitative players, and more in other sports. Our sports ministers and managers are so lopsided in executing the all round development of sporting fields? Look where are we gone with hockey which, was once the much adored game? Talk less about Football, though a popular game, yet no attention is given to improve the quality of the games...Now coming back to our social structure, women are hardly given much opportunity in developing their physical power, except give them hype developing their looks and discuss it as if only the physical beauty and else nothing is as par excellence to their Existence...Count how many \\\"miss world, miss universe, and so forth has produced India\\\"... it is as simple as that.if an indian player is not performing as expected, make him to read to the public's criticism and that he may be replaced in the next match,he will give u a better game.we should not forget that if one is sure of his place in next match ,why should he take trouble of playing and taking risk of being hurt.gangoo is an example.recently sachin also felt his ouster from the team.there was lot of criticism in the press about him.he is now back sweety
Team India did a good Job today. They played nicely. No flaws.It\'s good comeback after the last defeat and test series defeat. Dravid full credit to you.
Indian batsman have put the series live with their massive and supportive win. What a team effort. It was first the bowlers who have restricted the pakistan to a low score.Later the indian top order have eased the strong pakistan bowling attack.Appreciations to sachin and shewag for pschylogically attacking the bowlers intially with some superb shots. What a cold reply to pakistan team ?I appreciate the indian team on their success.
Media bias is clearly evident when top scorer for India, Yuvraj is mentioned in small paragraph at the end of the article. Sehwag got more coverage than he deserved. This has been the pattern for a long time. For some reasons Yuvraj seems to get the stepmotherly treatment from your coverage despite being the only consistent batsman on this tour. Is it the anti-Punjab bias? Readers need explanation from Rediff.
