A similar incident occured in the 1999 test match between India and Pakistan. Tendulkar was run out as Shoaib Akhtar obstructed him intentionally during a run. Nadeem Khan's throw hit the wickets directly from the midwicket boundary. India went on to lose the match. Indians' request to reconsider the decision fell on deaf ears as Shoaib got the benefit of doubt. Inzy could well take some solace from that incident and stop complaining.
