tendulkar is selfish
by saif on Feb 06, 2006 09:33 PM

Tendulkar batted selfishly for his century and dint care for the run rate at all..it was only cozz of Dhoni Pathan and Yuvraj that indians were able to reach a reach a total of 300 +... also now every tendulkar fan will praise tendulkar for this selfish effort.. and will not notice his failures in the future matches...when was the last time tendulkar made a century in pressure while chasing a total or when India were down for 15 for 4..then he will also get bowled and walk back...give him a batting pitch..where India is batting first and there is no pressure...and then comes tendulkar back with his selfish centuries, to be frank Tendulkar hits centuries only when they are not needed...when they are needed from him he will make 5 runs and get bowled,,and we call him the best bastman in the world...he shud infact be called the most selfish batsman in the world...his average is 45 + but in matches where India has won his average is mere 28...and we call him the match winner...selfish is the word for him...

dravid - a good leader
by ramesh on Feb 06, 2006 12:27 PM

Dravid has all the qualities of a good leader. By reposing faith in Sachin, the captain has done a world of good to his confidence and morale. I feel. we too should stop criticising Sachin and allow him to concentrate on the game.

Sachin will bouce back but...........
by Uttam on Feb 05, 2006 09:41 PM

Thanks Dravid for letting us know your feeling about Sachin's current form however why can't same rules be applied to everyone.......looking at Sachin's current form, he should be running the drinks for the boys or go & play a bit a domestic cricket to prove his fitness & form.
Not being funny but this is how Saurav must be thinking.......has he done worse than Sachin of late??!!
The problem with Indian cricket is that we look more into reputation than form & always being biased.
Sachin has achieved a lot records & Ganguly a lot for the team & country. While Sachin has scored century after century Ganguly brought the attitude the Indians were dying for years.
I think Rahul is the right captain for the team now but a leader got to be impartial & have to treat everyone equally.
Hope one day we Indian will be broad enough to show some character off & on the pitch.
All the best Sachin &.......Saurav, we need you both.

Overconfidence
by subbu on Feb 05, 2006 09:20 PM

Mr.Dravid is overconfident and seems to be floating in utopia. This current Indian team cannot go up against the Pakistan team in the oneday series. The form of most of the players especially bowlers is pathetic as can be seen from the test series. We all know this from the past that Pakistan goes an extra mile ahead when they play against India. Unless Indian team plays with assertion and aggression, and raise their game they won't be much of a problem for Pakistan to put aside. What plan does M.Dravid have for the batting aggression of Afridi, Younis, Yousuf and Inzamam. Atleast will they be able to contain Kamran Akmal from taking apart the Indian bowling?

Sachin's best time is over,it is reality
by KMCheriyan on Feb 05, 2006 08:59 PM

Dear Sir,
Now it will be better to use Sachin on rotation basis as he seems to be incapable of coming up with fantastic performances. There is no ground in criticizing the greatest batsman India had ever seen. There is no doubt for the fact that he is the greatest batsman world had ever seen but we must try to see the things with a realistic eye.He is getting aged so that the age will definitely make him little bit weak. As we see in any form of sport, the great players start loosing their touch and ability as they start approaching their 35.It happened to Sampras, Martina Navrathalova, Kapil Dev, Vengsarkar, Carl, so it naturally will happen to Tendulkar also.Mr.Tendulkar definitely deserves lot of respect because of what he had done in the past for the glory of Indian cricket.Tendulkar also must realize the fact that he is getting aged. Another thing what he has to realize is that he must continue to play as he has been doing all through these years. If he changes his natural style of aggression he hill become a miserable failure instead of tasting any success. The only solution for the problems grappling him is to get reverted to old style of attacking cricket.

Sachin will bounce back: Dravid
by A. Venkatesh on Feb 05, 2006 08:41 PM

Millions of Sachin's fans around the country, and outside it, will certainly look forward to a much more confident Sachin in the one-dayers against Pakistan, to follow from 6th February. As a team, the top-order has often failed than succeeded in the crucial matches. This, unfortunately, is a sad reflection. Let not the Captain of the team or the Coach, or any one else in the Management, talk much about the team's performance, in advance, but let them show by deed that they are an equal match to Pakistan. There cannot be any doubt that Pakistam team, in its present form, will go a long way and will even pose a threat to the unbeatable Australians. This is the truth.

Let us, all Indians, wish our team the best of luck in the coming one-dayers.

Rahul Dravid the captain of nasty four nexus
by Rajkumar Singh on Feb 05, 2006 07:14 PM

It seems Rahul Dravid has not only cricketing brain but also political acumen. He appreciates'lean period' for Sachin, Virendra and himself, but what abour Sourav? Is he not also a human? In fact, Rahul is selective for his comments and his vews are person dependent. He is sacred of presence of Sourav in the team. Neither he nor Greg can face the glowing brightness of captaincy material in Sourav and his steal solid personality and integrity. Dravid is assisting the devide and rule policy of Gred chappell to damage the image of India! Shame to Dravid!!
