Ganguly's contribution in two important partnerships in Pakistan.

There is plenty of top cricket yet to come from India's most successful cricket captain ever. We are pleased to learn that Saurav will keep playing cricket. His sense of perseverance is an inspiration to many in their vocation as sportspersons.

No Plans to retire
by jayanta sengupta on Feb 03, 2006 11:26 PM

Why should he retire? he did not crawl on the crease facing Sohaib and company. He would be a constant threat to Rahul, More and Greg. They are surely not comfortable facing him due to his stature. he knew the Indian cricket like the back of his hand. he understood the real poetential of this teams bowling and so played 6 batters in the ODI, though Ravi Shastri and comp criticised him. he was stubborn and so many see him as uncompromising but now we all know why he was so great as a captain. he won series with Nehera Zaheer and Agarkars , but this tealm with Pathans and Greg cannot do so. So the truth is realise your weak points and then prepare.

Ganguly

Sir,

Ganguly should have announced his retirement after he scored a century against Zimbabwe. He did'nt. Now he should announce his retirement after he played reasonably well in both innings of Karachi test. Still he does'nt want to retire. Does he want to retire with a zero in his last innings?

Please get lost with Sachin
by Manish on Feb 03, 2006 11:59 AM

Helo Saurav,
Why the hel u and Sachin want to play for India. U both are useless. Shameless Sachin should be sacked first. He should be banned for entire life time from playing cricket. These two guys play just for money. They don't play to win matches for India.

Seems Gonegully [Gangully] is avaricious and crazy !
Good sense should prevail in him ! Then only Indian Cricket could be saved.......He is 30 plus and now says that he can open the innings...........No doubt he will open and close the innings in no time !

Positive
by Swaroop on Feb 03, 2006 08:15 AM

..These are positive signals from the deposed ex-Indian skipper!Indeed,he looked good in both his 30s scores before falling to bad shots. However,he didn't seem to be confident of making a long innings,he didn't seem happy in the course of his innings. Not once could you find him smiling..I hope he returns soon with a good half century atleast..!
