you can never predict as far as the game of cricket is concern ,
the team who will have enough guts to beat their opponent will win whether it is sa or india

Discipline

In a confrontation of the sort Nel v Sreesanth , it's only Sreesanth who is punished and Nel, for all his unruly behaviour, gets away lightly. Why this double standards , Mr.Mahanama?

India 1st Innings batting
by Venkataraman Balaji on Dec 29, 2006 09:59 AM

India does not deserve to draw this test with pathetic batting performance, not lasting even 3 sessions (90 overs). A man who has taken 500 wickets with tons of experience gets out in such a deplorable fashion when at the other end patience personified innings was getting built was to say the least. Saurav Ganguly would have been better off to have taken the snorter from Ntini on his body rather than making the awkward fend off. Excepting Laxman & Sachin no Indian played leaving outside off.

India will thank Omen if they can go unscathed to Cape Town with 1-0 lead.

Prem Panicker's South Africa extend lead
by Dr. U K Palte on Dec 29, 2006 07:56 AM

Please do not blame Laxman for slow batting, he is afterall trying to be with the team in South Africa and not on a flight back home.

In this particular inning was Laxman worse or better than the great men like Sehwag,Tendulkar,Ganguly?

If Very Very Slow Laxman has decided to stay on the crease for as long as possible why not make him opener again.

Dead Duck
by Rajesh on Dec 29, 2006 01:46 AM

Yep couldn't agree more with the above post. India's a Dead duck unless Light (Lack of it) intervenes or our "famed" batsmen respond

India can do something!!!
by Anand on Dec 29, 2006 12:30 AM

I think if India can prise out early wickets tomorrow morning, then they can improve their chances of drawing or even winning the game. Knowing Graeme Smith, he is going to take a bold decision when confronted with such a situation (SA are 1-0 down). So if India bowl well tomorrow and get wickets at regular intervals, they can either delay SA's declaration or if Smith decides to be bold, they can put themselves with a chance of getting an improbable win.

All is not lost yet! I still feel SA hold only just that slight advantage! Considering the form of our bowlers, anything can happen tomorrow. With bad light, rain being thrown in, its turning out to be an interesting test match!

Vengsarkar playing politics!
by R.Kapoor on Dec 28, 2006 11:05 PM

Vengsarkar is worst than the previous chief selector Kiran More. At least More was more open. Vengsarkar still insisted in playing Wasim Jaffer who should have gone with Irfan Pathan back. Even Virendra Sehwag should have gone back. BTW what has happened to all that praise given to Saurav Ganguly? He failed. It is all state politics once again. Mumbaikars must get preference isn't it?
