Work Ethics...
by perl57 on Dec 23, 2006 10:46 AM

Personally I hate this guy. Coz 25% of his encounters with Sachin which got him out were of wrong decisions but its not glenn's fault either. Professionally if any individual with the work ethic of Glenn, work towards a goal, heck he would achieve 100 out of 100. Once asked to write on the work ethics in an essay competition, I said "If McGrath be a rip wan winkle who dozed off 30 years and woke up to bowl to Ganguly. He would promptly come round the wicket put the ball on 4 inches from LH's off side wicket and probably get him out." Thats his work ethic that makes him great. Probably he has lost out or rather had even shades not an upper hand against Sachin and Brian. Difference between Olongo and McGrath is that when batsmen hit them or let us take into example when legends like Tendulkar went beserk time and again against them, Olongo retired into solitude while McGrath came back to take the wicket or at least bowl a maiden. I guess Australia will be worse than England at the moment if Warne and McGrath quit. Coz they are the backbone. Ricky Ponting centuries are great but support from the bowlers is present. Wonder, how many matches sachin could have won us had we had these ppl
