Sensible Warne
by Mitzy on Dec 22, 2006 08:09 PM

He's done the right thing! He will always be remembered for his good work as he leaves when he is on top!
If he had waited these days will be forgotten and only a dwindling record would be remembered.

Also when a man wants to spend more time at home with family, and he has enough banked up.... why not? He's investing in his future generation.

Are our boys listening? also our politicians!! It's an Indian disease to hang on to the post... its another thing if you cannot afford it, but after you have ammassed suffiently you must live to enjoy it

All good wishes, to a man who knows when to quit!

Shane Warne goes ...
by M. Shankar on Dec 22, 2006 05:07 PM

What do you say when a colossus, stalwart, a giant like Shane Warne retires? Thank you Warne, you have brought such pleasure to millions of cricket viewers all over the world with your superb, matchless talent. You have really redefined what is spin bowling all about, and probably only Muralitharan was somewhere closer to you. He may also be touching the 700th wicket sometime soon, but you will be the one who scaled such unimaginable heights first. No arguments on that! Your achievements speak for your greatness.

Just wondering if you would consider setting up some kind of an International Warne-Spin Academy for the cricketing youth of the world to learn your art and keep it alive. And of course, we would love to see you as a Commentator too. I am sure you have so much to offer to the game, even if you are not in the middle of the field.

Wish you a lovely life ahead!

M. Shankar.

warne will\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'be missed
by miraj on Dec 22, 2006 09:24 AM

a legend has called it quits. greatest bowler the cricketing has ever seen. i would rate him far ahead of murali since murali will always be seen with suspected eyes for his actions. warne has more variety and gile. his battles with sachin tendulkar are legendary.his colourful personality will be missed on and off the field but the most will be missed are his flippers, big dipping leg breaks, romans..

thank you warne for a great show
