OF COURSE, ICC'S ACTIONS ARE QUESTIONABLE, RACIAL DISCRIMINATION IS GROWING IN ICC
by rcpillai on Dec 21, 2006 10:46 AM

It is ridiculous! The fine imposed on Shreesanth is not justifiable and it is a matter of shame on ICC's parts and they are famous to give discrimination while coming to the Asian players even though they are well aware that 90% income are coming to ICC from Asian countries. Shreesanth is a small boy and he deserve support of his courage and good show performed in Johannesburg in spite of the bad comments passed by SA players on him. If BCCI have no guts to give their protests to ICC in this issue at least, they should give special honour to this boy and offer double the loss he incurred due to ICC's decision

Sreesanth Fined!!!!
by Chris Davies on Dec 21, 2006 06:40 AM

Somehow with Roshan Mahanama being match refree, I knew this would be the action against Sreesanth. Roshan Mahanama has grudge against Indian players. Its time Mr. Pawar & Co. puts pressure on ICC to get rid of such useless & gutless ICC referees. Has he ever fined a single player from either England, Australia or even SA? Why did Andrew Nel getting scott free for his blabber while bowling? Its time for us to act and get rid of Mahanama. He is as useless match refree as he was a player!!!

Why Sreesanth and not Nel ?
by Kiran Washindkar on Dec 20, 2006 10:55 AM

This has been a routine for ICC to fine player like sreesanth and not the Nels and McGrath's.
Even a non lip reader would understand what Nel and even Kallis said on the field. We the viewer can hear the word without the sound. and after the match the newpaper show Sreesanth has been fined 30% of the match fees for breaching.

If sreesanth did that even kallis said "you F$##ing Indians" and Nel uses teh F word almost after every delivery.

I would like to ask this to the BCCI chief why are we not questioning ICC about the issues.

Someone has to stand for our player and if not BCCI who will
Indian had won a test series after a decade in south africa and what a Man of the Match award for Sreesanth (less 30% match fees)

Why not charge Andre Nel ?????????
by Sammy on Dec 20, 2006 12:11 AM

Totally disagree with Mr Roshan Mahanama.. Andre Nel's actions towards Sreesanth, wasn't that dissent ? Why charge only Sreesanth, you need to also charge Andre Nel coz this has become more frequently now..

Sri Lankan refrees
by Ashish on Dec 19, 2006 08:28 PM

Somehow Sri Lankan refrees never miss an opportunity to fine an Indian player, some time back, Ranjan Madugale was hell bent upon imposing fine on Indians whenever possible, and now Roshan Mahanma is carrying on the tradition.
Sreesanth perhaps was wrong in doing what he did, but iv seen some aussies n pums do things lot worse and get away with it, but if an asian does it, he will be fined for sure
