Batting failure
by S.Mohan on Dec 09, 2006 04:18 PM

Let India win this game. In the past india won and lost many times. But media is creating problems for the team india. As Mr. Aravinda desilva told that media pressure spoiled sachin batting and team india.

no mention of laxman's innings!
by a n o o p on Dec 09, 2006 04:09 PM

Funny how VVS Laxman who's top-scored in the innings is not mentioned at all! Would have liked to know how he coped against the bowlers...All the dismissals except his were discussed in minute detail!

we have to stop being too negative guys...stop bashing the bad performances all the time. give some credit to some good ones too

personally i feel sachin dravid and laxman will come good in the tests, and we shouldn't be worrying too much. even if we lose, it's not something new against SA in SA.....that's something worth remembering

Not to worry...
by Mudit Kumar Jain on Dec 09, 2006 03:11 PM

It is really a good practice match for them...also winning chances also.. bowlers done their part in first inning as they will do in 2nd inning .... Also batting clicked in first inning .. little worry in second inning but this is all right .. it was a bad day for cricket , wicket must be changed :) as 17 wickets fallen on second day .. yes on third day we may get 13 more, what a big deal :))))

It is proved again that ganguly can't take bouncers and other teams are going to continue to exploit that.

If you judge any batsman by watching one innings, then Sachin, Shewag can't face any type of delivery as per their dismissal types in last four ODIs.
Whether it is bouncer, or good-length or shor-of-good-length or an in-cutter.

Media's perpetration of wrong causes
by DLN. Sastry on Dec 09, 2006 11:46 AM

Media and politics have become the nemesis of Indian cricket of-late. Hardly had, the ball that left Gangulis bat, reached the boundary line in the practice match with a II grade SA team, before both of them started singing in Gangulys regained glory. This approach by the perpetrators of wrong causes encourages the prejudiced cricket crazy masses to rally against the rational ouster of a player even if he fails in ten matches in a row. This makes the players lesser culprits in this political game, responsible for the fall of Indian cricket in recent times.

Why?
by brama on Dec 09, 2006 08:55 AM  | Hide replies

Why dont you highlight the Asian games going on instead of writing on length about this rotten cricket? Already Indian cricket is spoiled and kids are getting spoiled by this fit for nothing Imperialistic symbol. Let us encourage other sports too! I would suggest the money & resources with the Indian cricket board has to be cannibalised to grow other sports which will give pride to India. Look at the small Koreas and Japan hitting golds! Grow up!

Why don't you search some other website if you are not interested in Cricket and eager to know the Asian games result?
You read the articles and then criticise the Rediff. I can say this disease is called "Chappelgiri".
