Indian players on the fieid are good & bad,it just depends on the situation, season&luck mainly. They will be good for a short period & remain bad for the rest of the year.
Yes, Ganguly must practice hard and play confidently. He must forgot what happened in the past and prove that droping him from the team was a big mistake by More and Chappel. I am sure, a batsman like him will prove it definitely.
I also want to convey him that if he plays well, he should not rise his bat in front of Chappel, as he had done in Zimbabwe. He should just thanks the destiny and keep mum.
Ganguly needs to do many things correctly to emerge out of this arduous tour, successful.Foremost among them is to have will power and self confidence to perform against scary quicks on bouncy and seaming wickets.
Success of Ganguly is equally vital for Indian team also.Currently in a dire state, they will be looking for ganguly and other experienced players to perform.
I personally think that Indian team's failure on this tour cannot be attributed to South African bowlers, who by the way are not in same league as Allan Donald and comapny. Its lack of self belief and Chapel's failure to inspire his players.
I am very much impress with Ganguly's patience and hardwork which has done in past couple of months for he comeback. And I am sure he will do his best in upcoming series.
