The first comment by Azhar I take as a joke!Yes, if you can experiment with Dhoni as opener for the test, you can as well ask Anil kumble to open.Only question that will remain is what your battesmen are supposed to do!But his other comments are in line.It is our battesmen only who allowed the SA bowlers to dominate in the just concluded series.There is also no point to be extra defensive, though one should build his citadel first.Players have to play their natural game only after being set.Sehbag will say, that is exactly what I am doing.Pity is that now everybody is talking about what India should do.With a serious chalked out strategy,individual plans for the players, and getting oneself adjusted quickly to the ground condition,we may as well see a different India in the tests.Lets keep our fingers crossed.
This is a good idea. However I prefer Laxman as opener. India must get used to 40/0 as a good score going forward. Either Tendulkar can go 2 down or Sehwag, better Tendulkar 2 down. Then Ganguly or Yuvraj based on who clicks. There is space for Pathan and Joginder Sharma. Bowl Kumble First Change, then Pathan or Joginder Sharma. Munaf and Zaheer, but Munaf needs to show that he can bowl at the Death.
India should not loose important wicket of sachin , before 1st 15 overs,if dhoni comes up the order then his position at no 6 is also important it should be fulfilled by any other experienced batsman who is at present not in form
