lowest ranking

If we take the result of last West indies tour, then India's position is 7th.This is hardly surprising, taking into account that out of last 17 ODI, India has won only 3.That means there is trmendous scope for improvement!I read in a Mujtaba Ali's novel, that in a horse race the money put on the particular horse was driving other horses like a tiger,of course positioning at the last. The man was proudly claiming this horse is the breed of a tiger!Same with our team.We are driving others like a tiger and will show who is the tiger at the right moment. Why we have not forgotten what was the status of India in 1983 cup!We were no where in the beginning, and no body would have considered us as a competent and put their money on us.But we won the cup defeating the mighty West indies.Would some thing like that happen this time also??

Indian team should get up
by suresh on Dec 05, 2006 05:00 PM

Team should play aggressively. Team should send Dhoni and Shewag as openers or 1 down to get more scores. Then sachin and Dravid should keep the wickets. At the end yuvraj and suresh/Mongia should make it up.I can not comment on Dadaas he doesn't have good record in these days. We will wait and see...

The System has to radically change to make the team better. India has to change its policy of loading the pitche in favour of the batsmen...there should be good bouncy wickets with even bounce which will even help the spinners.the pace of the pitch can be varied but bounce is a must as none of the batsmen feels comfortable with the short stuff.Indians have to learn to play the pull n hook shots and to stop slicing and undercutting short balls.
Also the bowlers need to learn to use the bounce in the pitch to restrict run flow n take wickets as wickets rarely fall due to one delivery.it is a result of consistent bowling which creates pressure....

Please change the system. We can be world beaters in 5 years.

I think some thing wrong with the ranking. How the good teams like westindis and England be bellow India. India position should be 8 not 6.

I go with this person, he was right.WI had reached the final in kulalampur & in ICC cup, so it must be ranked before our team. I don't know whether the players are worrying about this defeat 4-0 or not. if the thing goes like this then nobody watch cricket. Hey Indian cricket fans, Don't buy a ticket and waste your money. Do some useful things to poor peoples with that money.
