Preparation was not proper? ... !!!!!

Sub: Was it just the Preparation?

We have a whole-time Coach.
He has an Assistant to Coach.
They have been around for a long time now.
Now we are talking about a Bowling Coach.
May be we will also need a Wicket-Keeping Coach, now that Mr Syed Kirmani has found some fault in Dhoni's wicket-keeping technique.
We may soon need an exclusive Fielding Coach.
Looks like finally we will have Indian team represented by a Coaching XI !
Tell me someone, if the 'carefully chosen' players were not being coached and trained all these days, what were they up to then? After all that kho-kho, rock-climbing and mental toughening, that's all we got to say, we need to coach more and coaches more?
No, the problem in reality is Indian cricket has always been inconsistent, flashes here and there, but generally unpredictable! We have been always a shade inferior to most of the top teams, occasional good shows notwithstanding. Have we ever been consistently on top of the game, like the Aussies do? It is just like what we are in sports. See our success rates in SAF or Asian Games, Commonwealth games, World Atheletics, Olympics - long way to go with our physical & mental stamina.
M. Shankar.
