I think batsman's form decided by inexperienced media who knows only how much runs scored. Form is temporary and class is permanent. Let Sachin break all records br proud we have a Indian Batsman who competes in cricket world. Let him take time and do it. What media loose?

Tendulkar: Finding his form?
by M. Shankar on Dec 07, 2006 02:48 PM

Yes, may be, may be he is finding his form again?
But, with all due respects to his irrefutable greatness, with all acknowledgement of his top class feats in the world of cricket, with all admiration for the fine human being that he always has been, somehow ... some how ... I get a nagging feeling that his real best times with his prodigious talent is over ... and time is ticking off relentlessly. He does not really seem to be that authentic Tendulkar any more .. and every bowler worth his salt seems to have sized him up for what he is now. He does give the impression that he doesn't have the perfect shot to even the imperfect deliveries! We indeed knew of a Tendulkar who used to fire on all cylinders, blasting the ball into the V, to the sides, front and back and along the ground and over the ropes! After a lot of injuries and the time spent away from huge contests, you tend to think he, or his reflexes, have slowed down immensely.
I know many of Tendulkar fans will get annoyed about this, but let me tell you I admire him no less. And if he does not perform with that stamp of authority I am one too who agonizes with the entire nation.

M. Shankar.

Sachin is given a fair support and trial. If he he is not delivering in this series, drop him from team.

Tips for sachin
by Yogesh Mudafare on Dec 06, 2006 04:27 PM

I belive that he is finding his form ,but i also belive that he should come at number 4 so he can spent time and he does not have to face the new ball if he bags some run under belt so that he fill much satisfactory what is form its nothing but a confidence.while looking his batting we don't think that he is playing his game .if he has to play in opening slot he has to play his natural game i.e attaching ,for opener we should send either saurav and shewag or gambhir

It will be really great if he is finding his grove! Howerver, I do think that he used this 5th odi as a batting practice for the test series. I peronally like him to play more attacking game than defensive!

He may probably score a century and a couple of 50s but it is about time that he won a series for India on foreign soil on his own! Otherwise, what a waste of talent!

Never blame a single person

I don't think Sachin used this as a practice match. Had he not faced most of the deliveries and sustained the pressure upfront we would have been 54/5 by the time first 20 overs are bowled and eventually all out for 130 some thing like that. The main problem we have is poor thinking by BCCI.
India went from slow and low pitches in Champions trophy to a bouncy & jucy pitches in Sa with out any practice session.
What we need is a very tharough preperation(especially INDIANS, we are very slow starters and cannot afford to do that in the face of fearce competetion). We should have prepare on very bouncy pitches (like Moheli) for atleast a week and corrected some of the problems we did and use the practice match as kind of final reharcel. That would be definitely a different approach with a win in the practice match you gain lot of confidance.
You see all of them are same players who scored 14 straight chaes and 17 continuous wins. Its about good thinking, practice and knowing your weekness and strength.
Our biggest weekness: WE ARAE VERY SLOW TO ADAPT. If you can't change that over night simulate a longer practice sessions of the conditions you are going to play. All the best INDIA

Tendulkar

I am partially in agreement with Allan that Tendulkar is finding his groove. In India, he is undoubtedly the most popular battesman and most of his shots are engraved in the minds of his followers. That is why it becomes so pathetic to see Sachin is prodding outside the off stamp, or is late in taking his bat away from the line of the ball.In enumerable no. of times you see him getting defeated by Pollock and co. which was not imaginable a couple of years back.Yes,he is surely coming to the end of his career, though we would not like to believe it!Tendulkar is a destroyer.Any opposition team will vouch for that.Any good length or fuller length ball can be sent to the boundary by his array of shots. But off late we are not seeing this Tendulkar. That's why it was heartening to see him bat for some time in the last ODI.We only pray that he finds his touch and make us proud again as his admirer for a cricket crazy country! We want to see his 36th century in this test series!

Tendulkar may be a factor(small) for india's loses
by Vinny on Dec 05, 2006 05:13 AM

When Tendulkar was injured, Indian Cricket Team was under pressure that they don't have tendulkar and they probably started practising harder and they felt some pressure and responsibility on their shoulders and the result-they performed. But now they think that they have likes of Tendulkar and Dravid, so they don't feel the same amount of pressure and responsibility which they were when Tendulkar was injured.
Anyways, I like Donald's style of writing and he is very presuasive.
