SA add insult to injur
by suman on Dec 04, 2006 07:24 PM

What can a captain or a coach do if so many players are out of form at the sameRahul Dravid, the greateast batsman of India, will certainly fight these worst days of his career and come up with flying colours. dravid won test series in WI without ganguly and tendulkar.
SAteam is playing superb cricket and they deserve to be win and nobody can deny the credit to Sa team it is SA win more than india's defeat.
Team india did not win the any series against SA in last 3 tours irrespective of who was coach, captain, and playing eleven.
team inida all out for lowest score of 56 runs against kiwis and that was most humilated defeat happened under the leadership of most successful aggressive captain.

Indian Team performance
by ajay on Dec 04, 2006 04:43 PM

Considering the poor performance there must be some changes in the squad for WC 2007.

Exclusiof -
Sehwag - there is no sign of imporvement sinece 25-30 matches, he continued to loose his wicket inearly over, for 1 or 2 fifty in 10-15 games why should we bare him.

kaif - This is the second cricketor after Vinod Kambli, who has been given lot of chances but still there not such big innings, which were expecting from him, for only fielding why should we loose another bactsman, basically we need a bats man who can score

Kartik - Even after good performance of formaer keeper Parthiv, why this guy in the team it is beyod imagination, if we speak frankly there is no need ot second wicket keeper as Dhoni is there and ever in case of Emergency Dravid can do well as he did in last world cup.

Sachin - No doublt he is a great player as per the record but the performance which he is showing is as the gully cricket, he must be given at least last chance to prove hiself otherwise keep him out side the WC, for making records there is no need to keep a batsman who can continue only due to his records,
People were thinking who will be next after Sunny gavaskar but we got many so time

Peformance of Indian Cricket
by ajay on Dec 04, 2006 04:34 PM

Its very bab or we can say poor series for INDIA, not a single player has performed consistently, Except Zahir but he failed in last game. However he has made good come back after long.

Tendulker was playing like a new to international cricket, he scored hardly 4 in 15 overs. The way in which he has made 55, there is a doubt for his future, if he will continue to play like this then who will consider him ? But he will continue as Sehwag is continuing after contineus pooor performance, and also Mr. Pawar is there to give him a back up.

India had added Kumble in the squad but if we look at the squad then, we must realise that there is no space for him in the team.

If we think for better performance in the WC 2007 then we must think Hard and we might have to take some decision which could be seen tough by the people but that could be the solution, because not a single one has taken up it seriously. Dhoni has played 2-3 innings but that was not enought, he has potential to lead the team towards victory but there is requirement of calmness, no need to be such hurry , in which he lost his wickets many times.

We should enclude, Balaji, Nehra in bolsing side,

Woeful Indians in tatters

Tom Eaton

Before the start of the series won on Wednesday night by the resurgent South Africans your correspondent forecast that India would be lucky to win two out of the five matches. In retrospect that prediction has been proved hopelessly off target: a whitewash is what they deserve, and if they scramble together a win at Centurion on Sunday, Graeme Smith\'s team will feel justifiably robbed.

The prediction was easily made. India have always been weak tourists, and a recent slump in their performances, most notably a particularly impotent showing at the Champions Trophy, suggested only bad things for their South African trip. But now that the dust has settled, one has to admit that India have been startlingly rotten.

One can\'t do anything about form, of course, and the visiting batsmen have perhaps been exceptionally unlucky in being deserted by theirs en masse, with not a man spared to prop up his floundering colleagues. The washout at the Wanderers would not have helped nerves either, and those are clearly frayed, as evidenced by Sachin Tendulkar batting with a chest protector at Durban, a bizarre si
