India is performing excellent.
dhoni and his team is achieving victories not just by luck but byits hard work.

It is really nice to see this because after world cup 2007 no body was ready to accpt this team india.

so,
I congratulate them on their success.

Hair and the Inzamam tortoise
by sudhir jade on Sep 07, 2006 02:53 PM

In short Hair was very fast in removing the bail and Inzamam was tortoisiclly late in coming out to the field. So "Hair" was lost , game has lost "Hair" and finally after tortoisically delayed hearing Inzamam will win. ICC refree Proctor is ensuring protracted delay and ICC is trying to figure out how to manage a "Hair" transplant.

I agree with Ravi Shashtri. Hair should have contacted the third umpmire if he thought that the ball was tampered since technology was available he should have made use of it. There is one thing I want to say that Hair has something against Asian cricketers. Why does he do it to the whites. ICC should definitely look into this and get rid of him. I really admire umpire Dicky Bird, David Shepherd they are wonderful umpires and many occasion they have soughted out things amicably.

This nonsense has to stop, about looking at events inthe narrow lenses of racism. It is clear that the Pakistani team has forfeited all rights to fairplay by not turning up.Their approach was flawed and they are paying the porice for it.This false sense of identifyong with Pakis out of racial feelings makes equally racist and takes away our moral superiority. So let us view this incident in its enterity and make considered judgements.Personally I am with Daryll Hair though I have no love lost for his racist behaviour.Lets call a spade a spade

There is no point in writing these columns and cribbing about it.

This is not the first time umpires acted like idiots, but the BCCI and boards from other countries acted like puppet in their hands by not backing up the players. We know BCCI for years has been headed by much bigger idiots, but what happened to Pakistan board, they should back them up. This western hipocracy should be stopped.

Brother,

Firstly...you accept that you know very little about cricket...then why do you speak and support a nemesis like Hair. He has no proof to support his actions. He should be banned !!!!

Everyone else on this forum....please take note...unless something is proven you cannot take anything for granted....There is NO evidence that Pak tampered with the ball... Also, they were right in turning up late for the match as they were accused of being cheats and their only fault was that they were asking for an explanation....which is not a fault but their right....the media and the racist administrators of cricket portrayed it as a faulty action.

It is really sad what happened and am sure Inzi and Pak will come out clean...unless these racists administrators are biased.

Best,
Mudassir Ehsan

Disagree because............

I would say that Mr. Shastri is still not understanding that Pakistanis are very much into ball tampering and this can only be avoided through people like Mr. Hair. With a very little understanding of cricket, I can tell you that Hair has done correct things in cricketing terms. By just tweaking the older contraversies like "Muruli's Chunking", you cannot put up your poems going. I guess Mr. Shastri looking more into cricket's commercial value, though in my opinion you have to be panctual with rules first and then look into the audience count.

I wont agree because Hair who works as per book must have showed the proof of tampering by the bowling team before making the conclusions. He can not act on the basis of past history especially when he claims as a man of rules.

Ravi,

You hit the nail on the head. Hair's attitude is denting the game.
