Hair is right. He was paid to officiate as an umpire and he has performed well as an umpire. All this talk of racialism, Hitlerism is the language pertaining to POLITICS particularly in subcontinent. I dont support pakistan, for, they play more politics than cricket and as cricket is gentleman's game, they ungentlemanly spoiled the spirit by not taking the feild. Pak should be banned for playing cricket. After all the hardcore moulvis will agree with me when I say that Islam does not recognise cricket as a game to be played by the people of that religion and it is unislamic to play cricket.
hair was correct in his stance of declaring the match to england, if pak had objections why did they not raise it when the ball was changed and five runs were penalised, all this seems that pak wants to save there face so they are threatning to bar the onedayers and 20twenty if they are not gulty then they should have given in writing at tea time to the match refery and played on
Hair checked the condition of the match ball and it was his joint decision with West Indies umpire Billy Doctrove to award 5 penalty runs. Hair has no obligation to give an "explanation" to the team caught cheating. And the pakis have no right to act like sulking kids. People are blindly supporting the pakis and that's something very hard to understand. We Indians have not had any problems with Hair (yes, there have been controversial decisions, but which umpire can avoid mistakes once in a while)? Idiots who blindly accuse Hair ignore that he has given decisions against "white" teams as well. In fact, if you check Hair's umpiring record, his decision AGAINST and IN Australia in 1993 led to their losing a Test against the West Indies!! I am of the opinion that all that was done by hair was within the rule books of the cricket and i really do not find any reaon to raise fingers at him.Let's wait to hear his side of the story but all that i could gather from the evidences was it was absolutely right.............Hair keep doing a good job
Hair is a headstrong umpire, but his actions have a basis... He should be heard first then condemned.. Pakistan have a history of ball tampering behind them.... and Murlitharan definitely chucks.. ask Bedi..if you don't belive me.
A \\\"Job\\\" is what he is doing...no love for the sport he just screwed up...im sure he wants to write a book on this...He should be a clerk in the BMC or Govt Dept, it will suit him better!!
Hair was probably right. The empires decided to change the ball only when they realized that something unusual had happened to the ball. Something that happens only with the ball is tempered with. The fact that Pakistan has a history of ball tampering to get reverse swing in test matches confimred his belief. Else I am sure that he would have given the benefit of the doubt to the balling team.
