Ball tempering and Woolmer
by sbhujanga on Aug 25, 2006 06:52 PM

It shows very poor wisdom of Woolmer advocating to abolish ball tempering rule.
Now, adoubt arise if Mr.Woolmer has ever played the game with rel sportman spirits. If such Woolmer continue to serve the game thegame will definately become game of disrepute.
Success in any game is needed but not by cheat some means. One should not advocate to remove a law that forbid the act of cheating.
Cricketers are gentlemen and sportsmen but not low level personslities with cheat some spirits Mr. Woolmer should understand this.On moral grounds he should quit contributing to cricket in any manner.

I request rediff topass on this feeling to Mr.Woolmer.

Abolish tampering law: Woolmer

I dont agree with Woomer because there will be no end once tampering is allowed. If Woomer wants this way, than why not bowlers deliberately run over the pitch and make the some dents to helps the bowler of other end?

woolmer and tampering law

Mr woolmer,it seems the decision of umpire hair has gone to your head.Instead of having a justified and logical discussion its redicules that u r making such senseless statments.yes todays cricket is batsman friendly it can be made bowlers favourite by introducing some new rules but changing the rule of tampering the ball is not one of them.It will give cheaters a great chance to cheat and lets not forget that cricket is still considered to be a gentlemans game.what every sympathy and support he and his team got will be lost if he keeps on making such irresponsible statments.......

Stupid

This guy BOB is stupid. He trys to get attention by doing/saying such things. He also threatened (to whom?!) that he will resign because of the recent contraversy. No body took notice of it, and then this guys comes out and says he doesnt want to resign because then that will mean that the team indeed has done something wrong. All stupid. No body was pointing any finger at him and he threatens to resign, and then no nody gives a damn and he himself takes it back. Gorw up, BOB!

You are making an ass out of yourself Mr.Woolmer by making such ridiculous comments.

Next you'll want no batsman should be allowed to be at crease for more than an hour.

Holy cow! This man's gone crazy or have been brainwashed to make such comments by Pakis. The best answer would be to ask him to shut up. At least with closed mouth he'd look much intelligent.

Wrong Comments
by Vikash on Aug 23, 2006 08:26 PM

I Think Cricket is a batsman Game.
And to manually alter the ball should not there because it would take away the reputation in game. I think the ICC should punish or warn Woolmer for this comments. He being a coach should not make such comments.
