Wright's remarks are guesswork
by Raja Mohan on Aug 23, 2006 09:59 AM

One statement of Dravid which is impressive is the acceptance that he didnt read the book. Probably it is the key for all of us. We do not know what Wright had written in the book. All we know is a few pieces of content extracted by media as per their interest. We even do not know in what context, this content was written.
I think we need to read the book if we really want to comment.

rahul is selfish the match ended draw & rahul must have wait
by pravinkumar on Aug 20, 2006 09:50 AM

the match ended draw & rahul must respect sachin 200 but as typical south indian cruel boss in private firm rahul declared innings when sachin was not out on 194. i think rahul must stop these type of suicidal tendencies to be a successful captain. he must learn paticipative management from his college saurabh ganguli who sailed the indian cricket team to world cup finals in 2003 in south africa sir. like king ashoks saurabh dada won the toss (king ashoka won the battle) but saurabh dada gave first batting to his best friend ricky pointing (king ashoka gave the kingdom to lord gautam budhdh & selected a life of saint promoting budhdhism). Sachin is gr 8 player he can score 200 gainst australia like in sydney in 2004 december so i think sachin will forgive rahul selfish captain of india for declaring innings for draw match

'Dravid's remarks are guesswork'

I think Rahul Dravid feels he can bullshit everyone. It was amply clear looking at Sachin's face, when Dravid declared and Sachin's remarks that he was surprised, that Dravid declared the innings.

Dravid is a good batsman, but he is a crook. Simply look at the Ganguly issue. Statements like "we don't want people around with their insecurities" in the team, or that "Happy Problem" (referring to Ganguly).

Neither did he support Ganguly, not one word as a senior player. In contrast, the youngsters like Sehwag, Bhajji & Yuvraj have come out openly in support of Sourav.

Sourav backed Dravid himself when he was known for boring & slow performance in the one day matches, till Dravid developed himself as a good batsman for One Dayers.

So, with all this, it is difficult to believe Dravid.

Nothing better to write about?

Seriously, what's up with you guys and excerpts from John Wright's new book? Is this some kind of an ad campaign to raise up a storm or controversy so that people will flock to buy the book?
