by Silas Samuel on Aug 19, 2006 10:33 AM

Why do people select places as their match venue even after knowing that the climatic conditions is not going to be good?

Meaningless to conduct matches now
by Sridhar on Aug 19, 2006 10:03 AM

It is really waste of money and time to conduct matches in this rainy season. most of the cricket fans will be eager and shedule their time according to match time but there wont be a match and disappointment for fans.

rain and cricket

We must learn by experience. What is the fun in scheduling cricket matches in Monsoon season? Poor cricket lovers who sacrifice their leave from work to watch cricket! They lose the leave and also lose the privilege of watching matches.

Rains halts play in first ODI

It is meaningless to conduct matches in India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan & Bangladesh in rainy season. No one can predict when rain will come. Instead, we can plan our schedule in such a way that matches to be played either in England, Australia, Newzealand. It is a waste of money and time for the boards as well as public. Hope better senses may prevail upon those who are controlling the Boards and making cricketing schedules.

IND-SL Series.
by Debasish Das on Aug 18, 2006 05:10 PM

In my opinion no matches should be scheduled in the months of July-Sept in the Asisn sub-scontinent, since these are the months of rainy season here. The schedule announced should also reflect the feasibility of good weather conditions to make the match possible.
