Good Decision
by Balakrishna P on Aug 17, 2006 01:58 PM

India take good decision by playing in Sri Lanka as it is our nieghbour country & we should share their feelings(thing is they are not promoting terrorism). In such a time cricket will make some joyful moments in country. If India also pull out the series, then no meaning of conducting ICC champions trophy as India also facing terrorism. Its secondary whether India will win the series or not,but it should play in Sri Lanka.

Kudos to the Indian team
by Naveen on Aug 17, 2006 10:14 AM

I appreciate the stand of Indian cricket team. They have done the right thing by not pulling out of the series. They realise that they are playing for the two countries and their people. SriLankan people are suffering from a stressful situation and its our responsiblity as good neighbours to extend our support.
It goes without saying that SriLankan Govt will provide adequate security to the Indian Team. Also it will be foolish on the part of LTTE to hurt our players because it will turn India, which has so far been neutral, against them.

Comment on Dravid's remark
by Chitta Ranjan Jena on Aug 17, 2006 08:45 AM

It is a bold and courageous decission , taking into consideration that proteas have already left Srilanka. It is also a good decission for the bilateral relations between the two neighbouring countries , hereby India/ Indian Cricket Team has shown its courage/willingness to fight against the terrorism.

killing rajiv gandhi on 21-5-1991 by LTTE is to be kept in mind rahul
by pravin on Aug 17, 2006 07:55 AM

LTTE & shri lankan army are in a state of civil war & shri lankan air raid caused 40 innocent school girls die in jafna. so rahul be realastic & pack up please. Indian are peace loving & THERE IS INCREASING tension of shri lankan security to keep tight security of our indian team in view of late rajiv gandhi assination. rahul dravid please remember you are there to make a good will tour but civil war situation has worson so please pack up. Any way rain will not allow you to play a single ball i think in all 7 one day matches. Also due to security reason the crowd we had in west indies will not be allowed to enter the stadium it self so the game of cricket will be dominated by terrorism, politics & fear. so it better to leave it.
