what the coach had done; there is nothing in it. Look before going for batting; I think a lot of expectations are being kept from a player, like shewag. If he throws his wicket in a ugly and cheap manner, then it is the very right of a coach to grab his collar, I used say he should have given a gud kick in his back side. Coz due to such type of game from our players; we lose some important matches....
India were a superb unit with Wright who was tough nut to crack, yet he believed in results speaking for him unlike this current old senile man from Australia who talks and talks and gets no result. Wriht took India to WC final, can Chappell match it or better it? I doubt very much. Time will tell.
I think John Wright did the right thing no matter what, when he lost his cool as mentioned now in this article or in his book. How else do you think a coach who works with his players day and night to improve their performance would react when someone throws the wicket casually and walks around as if nothing had happened. Only a coach who really cares about his players and team from the bottom of his heart would act like that. Indian players seem to have this tendency that once they have cemented their place in the team they think they can get away with anything. He is a genuine man who brought so much glory to the Indian cricket that no one else could do in the last umpteen years. Yes things can and do get out of hand at times, but that is human nature, especially when someone really cares about the responsiblities that they have been given, they want to perform a duty with all the honesty. I have all the respect for Mr. Wright, I am sure Mr. Chappell will also be a coach who will tell the players where they belong. If Ganguly didn't perform he told him to get out of the team, Good job gentlemen. I can't wait for the day when these slime ball selectors will be kicked out too. Thx
Indians are very immature and infantile due to their upringing, especially men who are coddled by their mommies way into adulthood. Also Indians as a whole don't know how to apologise or take personal responsibility and take every criticism personally as an affront and attack - they become obdurate and defensive instead of using such criticism to better their shortcomings. Indians want praise only - criticism is verboten, that's why they are totally off the medal charts in international meets such as the Olympics.
