See, Sidhu has not supported what Jones has said. Lets make this clear - Sidhu says since Jones has rendered an apology, and been fired from his current commentating job, there is no further reason in digging his grave. It wud have been a different matter had Jones stood his ground and failed to repent. The acerbic words were said in the heat of the moment. Jones shudn't have said it, but since he has(and it was on air), he has done the best he cud...apologised, spoke to Hashim Amla, said repeatedly that he meant no offence and it was an off-colour quib. Wat else can he do? Words once said cannot be taken back! I actually admire Amla's spirit in forgiving Jones. He understands the reason to move ahead...so guys time for us to think ahead!
Wat else we can expect from the outspoken person like Sidhu. When he thinks Dean Jones should not be penalised. I think so Sidhu falls in a category of Sardarji joke. When everyone nows wat Jones has said. He hurted a feeling of Hashim Amla, who as a devout Muslim has comeup to such a competative level of cricket. Tat too being a nonwhite player. What Jones did is foolishness being in international cricket for so many yrs. So as Sidhu is doing the same. If we go back to records, Sidhu was having a case pending in a murder case. Having a criminal background, we can expect this type of defending from a controversial person. Shame on u Sidhu.
Sidhu once again proved that he is an irresponsible guy. We all know his exaggerated comments on Air a couple of years ago. Now because someone else got kicked off like he got, he thinks he got chance to prove a point...huh. If Jones felt it was a Joke then its really bad. And I very much support ICC for its decision. I know its harsh but these things should not be repeated. Already religion based issues are causing a lot of trouble off field. Now, people like Jones are trying to bring it onto it. Come on guys, please grow up
Siddhu is as good as a person as his commentary,It would be naive to take him seriously.Dino demonstrated general aussie psyche .....first lehman was penalised for racist comment.....few days back another aussie mel gibson was criticised for making anti jews comment and now dino for making anti muslim comment ...... we should critcise and ban him for commenting in india.
If we call Sidhu as the person who killed Indira Gandhi, then what would be his reaction? will he agree this?
