He is my all-time favourite cricketer. He is the true australian cricketer and his achievements are like sun rays splitting darkness away. Hearty congratulations!!!

What a wonderful knock. He became a role model for the other country bowlers.

Wish you good luck.

Any correction required????
by Ramesh on Apr 20, 2006 06:05 AM

Can you please confirm the previous Record holder for any Night-watchman???

To my knowledge i think it was Mark Boucher who came as Night watchman scored 125 runs which was the record till now until broken by Dizzy Gilespee.....

what days man .. gillespie cracking a double hundred .. i think people should stop playing cricket .. or let other serious test playing nations like bangladesh play only friendly matches for cricket's sake .. is ICC listening ..
not taking anything away from gillespie for superb concentration .. but its international cricket!! make cricket popular but not at the sake of cricketing .. if you know what i mean!

Truly this is an amazing feat, totally unbelievable. It once again shows that Australians can do wonders anytime...

I wud like to point out a mistake in the article, you mentioned he reached 200 with a 'drive to fine leg' ???
