India lose ODI
by T.P. Viswanathan on Apr 12, 2006 11:02 PM

A person is known by the company that he keeps. In the company of lazies, other youngsters who were performing exceedingly well in previous matches, failed miserably.
BCCI wanted to present vicory to England on a silver plate. That was why it persisted in Sehwag and Kaif despite knowing thier dismal performance and public outcry.
I understand resting Irfan Pathan, but why should totally inexperienced fass bolwers were inducted! Zaheerkhan should have been given a chance.
If at all Team India plans to win the last ODI, it should not repeat the hera fery of going in for raw stuff and bowling and fielding horribly.

Strauss leads England to victory

We had seen the flop innings of Sehwag earlier and now we see how he also flops as a captain in the Jamshedpur match. The team management till now escaped criticism because it was Dravid or some other batsman/bowler who won the match for team India.Only yesterday Kapil Dev had told the media that Sehwag and Kaif be dropped because they are as good as any other Indian like Ganguly or Laxman who were left out because of bad performance.Greg Chappel wanted to oust players like Ganguly on the basis of performance but will he please explain what is the reaction of other team players especially when their captain Sehwag scores less runs which results in the team failure and instead talk more on the press. We want consistency in the team and not failures after failures and a single knock to reserve one's place for the entire year.
