Sachin has been and will be the little master for India till the world cup. But I think the Indian team should take this so-called 'World cup preparations' very very seriously. Greg Chappell may be training sachin for the world cup coming up, but the team cannot rely on Sachin only. Players like Sehwag, Yuvraj, Kaif and Raina will need give outstanding performances before they can even think about performing well in the World cup. As far as bowling is concerned, I have no doubts that Kumble, Bhaji, Pathan, RP Singh and Sreesanth will do well. But as it is said, Cricket is also a game of learning your way up. All the players need to perform well for a team victory. India should keep their winning streak alive and become the number 1 team in the world. Because guess what, if confidence is their, even teams like Bangladesh can make Australia nervous.
Hats off to Chappel's views, vision and the way he shaped team and a BIG importance and encouragement to youth and new comers.
But I doubt? why did he failed to mould, extract and make Ganguly to perform. Like Sachin, Ganguly's experience especially aggression would have added more to the team. More than Ganguly I personally feel it is Chappells failure in Ganguly's case, no doubt he is excellent coach.. he could have given him good tips, counselled. After all you cannnot ignore a player like GANGULY.
