how could the selectors avoided our greatest captain
by shubhraneel on Apr 20, 2006 06:09 AM

How could somebody avoid the player like Mr Ganguly who still is the best captain in india. there are still many players in our indian squad who hardly got runs in the recent mathches, players like md kaif easily selected for the team even his current average is near about 9 or 10 runs per match. sehwag get 73 runs in second abu dhabi match but if we concentrate on some facts then we can easily find that this pitch is totally dead sehwag hardly faced any short pitch delivary which is his main problem. what he will do in the next tour where he will play in green top.
Actually the matter of sourav ganguly completely showed the problems of biasness and regionalism in our cricket. persons like kiran more are encouraging these kinds of things. how can a player like sehwag who is struggling for his own form told others that our best captain is a past chapter. how could our cricket is only concentrating upon the wants of chappel who is supporting sehwag and kaif. our captain dravid also supporting mr chappel.... very unfortunate once he was the player who was not fitting for the indian team but that time ganguly support him & gave him opportunity(wicketkeeping).

'Ganguly a forgotten episode'

Ganguly is unforgettable hero of India, we don't know how to behave with players , as kaif and shewag are playing bad they too will be soon forgetten by us. we should be patience and we should not speak rubbish to the media because same words will be returned by others to you. we should respect all the players because they are our hero's (might be past or present) and bad pathes comes in everyones life.don't comments on others, be as you are otherwise no one will respect you as a human being.

Sehwag's comment on Ganguly may be begining of end of Sehwag's career.
by ANURAG BANSAL on Apr 12, 2006 02:03 PM

Since Sehwag is a senior player of Indian team who was brought in by Ganguly, he should speak like this because everybody has to face bad time in his career, today sachin and sehwag also facing this. In last many matches sehwag could not do more than i think he should also be fire out. He should not involve in team politics which may cause to end his career. Sehwag should not forget that he is brought in squad by ganguly. And today he is doing ahsanfaroshi only because of his position. But one thing sehwag should keep in mind that , that time is not very far when he has also to face the same rigoreous situtation.

What is he thinking of himself?????????
by hari on Apr 12, 2006 01:49 PM

I dont understand what the hell is he(Sehwag) thinking of himself.... Who is he to say abt Ganguly....Did he ever think what would have happened had Ganguly not sacrificed his opening slot...had he not experimented him as an opener in Test cricket.. atleast i cant imagine him being in the Indian cricket team....What a shame..."Agar usko english me baat karna nahin atha tho hindhi me baat kar saktha na...usko "ofcourse" kab use karna bi nahin atha"..... I strongly feel he should be stripped of from indian team and Yuvraj should be future indian skipper and Dhoni being his deputy....Idiotic and most unprofessional comments by Sehwag...Shame on him!!!!!!

Shewag's comment on Ganguly
by Asim on Apr 12, 2006 12:53 PM

Shewag has shown the guts to tell the truth. Even if he has built up his carrier by the support of Sourav only, why should he be greatful to Sourav ? Viru is after all a super rich man now .Why should he be genereous to his ex-mentor ? Moreover, Chappel saheb is backing him even if he is producing only "undas" nowadays.Obviousely he should now be one step ahead to show his anti Sourav stand and make Chappel happy. After all Viru is our Indian Hero and he can not be un-greatful to a foreigner. So bravo Shewag for such a fitting reply about Sourav.

Ganguly-a forgotten episode...continued
by SandipM on Apr 12, 2006 07:39 AM

(I mean surprise visits) either to see and check that whether the plans decisions taken by the Indian government are actually implemented or if there is delay or failure in implementing these schemes what steps are he taking to take care of the situation.
Mr. Pawar has been elected by us, the people of India to serve in the ministry of Agriculture and not in BCCI. If he wants to be BCCI chief, he should resign
from the Indian Government, he should quit politics and then he can serve the BCCI.
My humble question is why the sports and youth welfare ministry cannot take the direct control of BCCI? I appeal to The Indian Government to dissolve this BCCI panel including the chief and the selectors immediately. Greg Chappel should and must be sacked immediately before he does any further damage to the
Indian Cricket. Well, apart from the Ganguly issue- upon which everybody is writing, I would like to raise other points. My question is why does he not consider Zaheer Khan and Balaji? I would
(1)Kiron More should be changed from selection board in same reason as he dropped Ganguly. The more experienced and qualified cricket personnel should be
placed of More.continued in next msg

Ganguly-a forgotten episode
by SandipM on Apr 12, 2006 07:36 AM

Before we forget Ganguly there are some points about Indian cricket which we should think first and should not forget.....
Lets first judge those and then will come to judge players........
As a fan of the Indian cricket since childhood, I am following the game and the way right now things are proceeding, I would like to express my opinion and shall be extremely pleased and happy if this letter is considered to be published in your esteemed news paper.
I am writing this e-mail in context of the situation in BCCI. I would like to ask the following two questions:
(i) what are the criteria of choosing/nominating the selectors?
(ii) why the politicians (e.g., like Mr. Pawar) or a businessman (like e.g., Mr.Dalmia) or a person like e.g., Mr. Raj Singh Dungarpur - who has hardly played
any test cricket or has not made any substantial contribution like test cricket will hold the key positions in the BCCI?
As an Indian, I think, I have the right to ask to the present chief, Hon'ble Minister Mr. Pawar that what are his future plans in the Ministry of Agriculture? Is he taking the stock of things on day to day basis and is he going to the remote village....continued......
