captaincy for sehwag.
by sweety on Apr 10, 2006 12:18 PM

It is now very clear that our selectors have double standards.instead of throwing sehwag out,he has been rewarded for performing poorly in the game.sehwag , sachin and kaif are now spent force.let new blood get the chance.we keep them saying that they have a good past.are we working for the present or past.sehwag is not a fool to say that captaincy will be a problem for him. sweety

Captaincy

Veeru,
I hope you are a great player and keep playing well for India.ut as far as the captaincy is concerned, it is something different.

You have to lead the team from front like Ricky, Inzy, Fred, Clive LLoyd, IVA Richards, AB. If your own form is miserable and your playing technique is not up to the mark, espicially short-pitch deliveries, you need to think and work hard.

Having ambitions is not bad, but when you want to lead a country, the requirements are different. I hope you understand the same and act and prove accoridngly. We need Veeru as a smashing batsman first, then we will be ready to accept you as a captain.

A captain can not be post which confirms your place irrespective of what you deliver is not correct. The days have gone o this thinking. so please give India the start that is needed and your career will flourish along with team india.

Santhosh D\'souza
Shewag
by Santhosh D\'souza on Apr 08, 2006 11:00 PM

This is the right time to send Shewag to school. Forget about capataincy he is not even worth to be in the team. There are far more better players in the waiting list. They should get the opportunity first. If the selectors still chose him for the rest of the one dayers we can only say "This happens only in india"
