Gavaskar is probably seeing himself in ganguly, I think its bringing him back his good old memories -how he let India down into the drain & made his first 10k odd runs. Words like selfless/hardworking/honesty are not free for everyone to use, at-least not for this duo.
I'm glad someone had the guts to expose the dark side of Indian cricket, isnt it time for us to sit back and think what Indian cricket really needs to do to get back whatever little glory it had in the past??
Is not his son the captain of West Bengal. Now you can find the link can't you? He cannot go against Dalmiya for tha sake of his son and hence canot go against Ganguly as well CAN HE?
Its very difficult for the general public to remember any of Ganguly"s innings (both in tests as well as ODIs) where he has helped India win the match. Neither do I remember any of his innings itched to memory in the last 2/3 years. He is purely in the team because of whims & fancies of some high-fly individuals in BCCI & Selection committee formed by themselves.
Obviously Gavaskar will back ganguly cos he has 2 hidden agendas. Firstly he is eyeing the coach post for a long long time and secondly he wants his son to be selected for the Indian team and only ganguly can help him this way as has been done in the past. Am sure Chappel will never accept Rohan in the team cos he is not merited at all. So there is no surprise that a man like Gavaskar has backed a person like Ganguly
Everybody knows that gavaskar was one of the most selfish cricketer india have. So its natural he is taking side of Ganguly. Just find out some advantage definately he is getting due to that. Shame on Gavaskar and Ganguly
