True Article.. I think everybody will agree with the views expressed here. There is too much politics in Indian Cricket and Greg Chappel has just been exposed to one such piece of it. Ganguli was PRINCE of Indian Cricket and he should leave the captaincy on the same note. But it seems that the success has gone into his head and like a politician, he has fallen in love with the KURSI. Even a player has decided to degrade himself into the eyes of his fans then even a Coach cant help it.
ganguly is relief the issue is over. what was the issue and where did it ended? nothing was prove and nothing was pointed then how was the issue relief . only god knows. i think next president of BCCi should be laloo yadav. he might do better than this..
its nice to hear that the matter has been settled, but it should be kept in concern that the issue is not repeated again, keep it up ganguly, prove that you are efficient......
At least temporarily the fight seems to be over, but the board has to seriously think whether to appoint any foreign coaches of high stature in the future. The result of the Chappell appointment as coach seems to be a failure and a sense of insecurity has come up in the minds of most of the players.What Chappell wants is an autocratic setup where he will be calling all the shots which can in no way be acceptable in the game of cricket where the captain is the numero uno. Today he has faced problems with Sourav and there's always a possibility in the future where he might face a problem with some other high profile players in the Indian team.And last but not the least is the fact that Chappell might have been a great batsman but he is yet to prove himself as a coach.
Ganguly has kept the Captaincy .Greg has let down his image.God knows what is in store for Indian Cricket.Ganguly must realise that Gracious exit is always the best.I hope he could find his worth in the eyes of the Public that he could muster only 36% opinion poll votes as against Greg who is not an Indian.That speaks volumes.I do hope he will be impartial and optimally utilise his resources and do personal introspection.If need be he should drop himself if he cannot pick up his form like Mark Taylor did while leading Australia.
You see how cleverly this cricket dons (dalmia, ganguly & and mahendra) twisted this whole issue. The original issue is that when ganguly should be sackked.Obviously he is not eligible to be in the side merely as a player.Then no quesion of having as captain. But this bengal babus twisted this issue to captain vs coach issue now say that they must work together means that ganguly can continue with out question.
So some people sitting at the top can decide despite of the public opinion, Govt should take over BCCI atleast ban dalmia from indulging in cricket politics. Ask him to do his own bsuiness.Why he must involve in cricket - for quick money only. Dalmia is shame to the whole country. Ganguly should be donated to pakistan,/
