Hi guys, The very fact that BCCI thieves have emails ids is big news, worthy of the front page. I am surprised they have managed to keep pace with the rest of the world at least on the email front. They run this farce called "Indian Cricket" as well as I can conduct brain surgery. The bunch of jokers deserve nothing but our contempt, but it is wishful thinking to expect that Indian cricket fans will vote with their feet and not watch cricket anymore. I bet they are actively debating who is right and who is wrong right now, I can only hope nobody is sympathetic to Ganguly. Well life goes on, our cricketers will amass records and under achieve as a team; nothing's changed in the last 50 years.
Well well well...theres only one question left to be answered- who will the BCCI choose now- its quite clear, either Ganguly or Chappell will be the last manstanding in this one.
Will the BCCi choose a man who has not performed over the past year or will they back their judgement in the appointment of Chappell and show their vision and dedication in the march towards the world cup in 2007.
Ganguly has without doubts proven himself as India's greatest captain ever- there is definitely no denying that. Team India never looked better than in the Golden year of 2003. However does that he mean he will be forever the best choice for Indian cricket. I am not going to sit on the wall on this one- the answer for me is a clear No.
Indian cricket is really going nowhere today. What they need is to rediscover the pasion of 2002 and come back with a bang. It is important that the BCCI takes a stand and shows that no one player is larger than the team interests. I sincerely believe that Ganguly is past his best and that Dravid needs to be the man to take India forward.
BTW...just a thought- what will Mr Dalmia's role be in what happens next....now thats a thought
yes He is not only physically and mentally unfit to lead a team but considering his age (32 and odd) , he should consider himself bowing out gracefully rather become an embarrasement and blot his record. One more thing to pen.He has not won one match by his strength of batting after being elected captain. His victories as captain have come as hard work of Dravid, tendulkar, laxman in tests and young bowlers.if he doesnt retire the board should remove him.
Despite India has won the series, no one seems to be too proud of that.
Reasons: 1. Besides being a poor team over all, Zimbabwe tean in its present state is just terrible. If you look at those new players, you feel that even our mumbai or Karnataka team can beat them convincigly.
2. We must give enough credit to them for hanging in y'day to avoid the innings defeat. It was no less than an achievement after starting 4/39 on the third day. Only indian fielding side could have done something likt this - destroying the opponents' top order batting line and then unable to shake the tailenders and lower ordered ones.
3. This series also uncovered what our captain and the coach share inside the dressing room. In my view, the composition of the indian team should not be changed very frequently but at the same time I totally agree with Chappel that if we want to win 2007 world cup, we must pick the best players in the team now and dump the weaker links, no matter how glorious their past may be.
There are not too many people who would support Saurav on this matter, not even his fans. Because at a certain point, we all think in the interest of the entire team and the nation and not just
As long as i believe cricket, i will remember you as captain of Indian cricket. Least bother about what ever others say. Your record as captain and you record as batsman..wow..it is just great..
third highest run scorer in odi cricket highest number of wins as a captian and the best captain india ever produced who patronized so many young criketers leading the team to the world cup finals and transforming the team into world beaters with 10000 runs in odi 5600 runs in test alone does make one "unfit" to lead the indian cricket team !
While respecting the cricketing feats and deeds of Ganguly,it is not possible to accept pettyness and brinkmanship to hold on to the post without any thought on future of the game which made him whatever he is now.Add to this, all the unruly behaviour and gestures and slow-down tactics on field,he is just not fit to be a leader anymore.Though trying to cling onto posts held is nothing new in the country,he seems to be doing this for longer time after losing even the BASIC FORM to play in the team.,A REASON often trotted out in selection breifs regularly done in this country.LET he SHOW to THE NATION atleast now he RESPECTS and CARES for A YOUNGSTER's(he was once one too) CHANCE to PLAY for HIS COUNTRY.,and stepout of the team.
Hi Ganguly is the best captain i have ever seen and i like the way he handle the team better fire the chappell and hire the new coach and make the team to win the 2007 world cup.
