Most Successful Captain !!
by Max on Sep 26, 2005 12:12 PM

Guys.. i want to ask.. bout the most successful captain of India.. they say it.. but where do he stand infornt of Ricky Pointng.. are you saying Australians are more talenentd then Indian players? to my point of view.. India and Pakistan bring the most talened Player in world in Cricket .. but when it comes to perform they fail.. its not about they way play.. its bout the consistansy that you give in team.. the score you made and the wickets you take.. Because in the end of day.. it does't make any difference that How did you hit the score.. its DID you hit the score at all.. i think We need Disipine in team and thats what the greg's team you are among the best batsmen in world you can go watch and admire the history as much as you can.. but game is being played on a day.. in moment.. and what did you did that specific day....

Regards...

1000 runs my foot
by vinay on Sep 23, 2005 05:59 PM

Saurav da has scored about 575 runs in his last 16 innings, and not 1000 runs as he proclaims. Out of these measly 575 runs, he has a scintillating 101 against Zimbabwe, a masterful 88 and a class 71 against Bangladesh....sorry saurav da!! That silken touch has gone coarse! Bow out, now!

Sanjoy Choudhury
Saurav - The best Indian Test cricket captain
by Sanjoy Choudhury on Sep 19, 2005 04:11 PM

Hi!

I simply don't understand what are we talking about. The Indian cricket team selectors for both the test and one dayers has on behalf of BCCI selected Saurav Ganguly as the captain of the Indian cricket team for the current tour for both one dayers and test matches. BCCI has also selected Greg Chappel as the coach of the Indian cricket team.

Thus both the captain and coach should stick to their own roles. Thus, if Saurav has to be believed that someone has asked him to step down and it points to Greg Chappel, Saurav should have informed BCCI about it and not wash dirty linen in public. Also, Greg Chappel has no right to ask the captain to step down. The captain of the team should only rest if he is indisposed.

For the present test series, seven specialized batsmen have been selected. Thus, if six batsmen need to be selected, going by previous records, Mohammad Kaif definitely sits out with an average of only 24.50 in 7 tests / 13 innings. No doubt, Mohammad Kaif is a good batsman but comparing him with Saurav Ganguly is simply unjustified.

So, Saurav don't pay any heed to your critics and play your natural game but please don't wash dirty linen in public.

Sanjoy

Captain Ganguly ;Its better for him to step down before authorities step in,in the process. With rift between him & the coach, its difficult to concentrate on the game, especialy captaincy. It will be magnanimous for him to quit, else he will loose his
supporters further.=J MOHAN, BELGAUM
