The reason for Kaifs exclusion is direct indication of putting breaks to his run towards successor of ganguly. Kaif's consistent performance in recent matches, and the spirit to give life to game were indicating as the futre young captain for indian team, who has also lead the under 19 world cup victorious indian team. Gangully should be dropped before its too late for 2007 world cup.
really dont understand this move, i have no respect for the indian team at the moment. Kaif is in good nik and shud be piked first (in order of merit) for this team.especially at a time where the battin is in crisis. he needed these runs to gain confidence bothh in the 1dayers and especially in test. with this series he cuda proved his critics rong,.. he has a good temperament and shown recently that hes skills with the bat has inproved, his inclusion is only good for indian cricket, current and the future. i mean, the highest rrun scorer averagind in the 90's in zimbabwe dont get a game, only indians can play dirty politics like this. this shows that ganguly is not fit to be a captain, clearly shows he has no passion for india or ne kinda cricket commen sence. and for kaif, he is too good of a player to stay out long, and soon prove himself- good luk 2 im. :)

England had dropped Grhame Thorpe from test squad of Ashe Series for KP becuase of his outstanding performance and also he proved that in first, Second & the Final fifth test by scoring 158.

The exclusion of Mohd. Kaif from the test playing XI against Zimbawe is absolutely mind-boggling. It only confirms that Indian Cricket is in the hands of few selfish guns who can do whatever they want and get awawy with it. Out of form people like Ganguli etc. are in the team and the chap who worked so hard and proved that he is just fit for the top order slot and played those beautiful knocks is once again out the side.
Is media who always gives weightage to some non-performing so called "star players" will have the courage to really take the issue and find out for how long the ugly game of partiality would contine and for how long the selfless, performing Mohd Kaif would continue to suffer?

dont bother if ganguly makes runs? are out of ur mind.... how many oppurtunities do u want to give him... if that is the case...make me captain.... i promise i wont perform..... if a worthy player who is in form and gets as many chances as ganguly he will sure win the match for india.... so mr raman u think u know all. keep it to urself.....

A few performances.......U have concluded that Kaif is best player in the squad.........Agreed....He may fit into ODI team......It will be a mockery if he is included in Test Squad...........
Dont question about Gangully being continued......We need a tough Captain to whip the boys to deliver !! Gangully should continue as Captain so that he can ensure other players deliver.....Dont bother whether Gangully performs or not....as long as others play well and India wins, Gangully should continue !
Why are they Still keeping Ganguly in the Team, drop him first and it was his luck that in his captaincy India performed well. but he did not performed in most of the matches .Oh Team Deciding Members/Board Team Win or lose depends on every individual in the Team, not the Captain and just don't give credit for him. Dont forget he is also a part of Team. if the Captain does not perform well in 5 consecutive matches treat him like all other players and Drop him from the Team. Kaif far better player than Ganguly in this moment.
Had the team entered the fray with 5 batsmen and five bowlers, perhaps Kaif's exclusion could have been justified. Exclusion of an in form batsman from 6 batsmen is surprising. Kaif has proved that he suits well for both the forms of the game, and is an added advantage in the fielding. YUVARAJ who is more a one day batsman whould have been rested giving place for Kaif. With some patchy performances in testmatches, Yuv cannot stake claim in test matches, but he is the pet of Ganguly ! God save our cricket from the favouratism and nepotism. Umasutarao
